Tile Spacers
Wall and floor tile spacers are normally cross shaped and usually made out of plastic. They are typically used during the installation of porcelain and ceramic tiles to ensure a consistent, even spacing between each tile. Spacers make the tiling process easier and also helps to provide a symmetrical flat surface for preparation of grouting.
Ensuring that the correct amount of space is left between each tile is essential for allowing movement and stress relief of the tiled area. We recommend wall spacers be a minimum of 2mm and floor spacers a minimum of 3mm. Lay the first tile correctly at the starting point, as your floor or wall surfaces may not be perfectly level. Other tiling tools which may be of use when using tile spacers include Tiling Trowels, Mixing Buckets, Cutting Blades & Wheels and Tile Tracking systems, tile levelling systems.Read Less
