‘We’, ‘we’, ‘Our’, ‘our’, ‘us’ means The Great Northern Tiling Company Ltd. whose registered office is Unit 5, Holbrook Close, Holbrook Industrial Estate, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S20 3FJ.

‘You’, ‘you’, ‘Your’ and ‘your’ means you the person (being an individual or a body corporate as applicable) seeking to purchase Goods from us;

Making A Purchase 

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, we can process your order over the phone.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, please contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, our system will generate a sales order form, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under or overpriced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

All packages sent from us are sent via a 'Signed' for service via courier. Smaller items may be sent via Royal Mail, but this will still require a signature on delivery. Our website calculates the weight of your order and the shipping destination. Only the shipping options appropriate to your order will be displayed. We use several reliable courier companies for our UK customers, to ensure ‘on time’ deliveries and the best possible service.

Lost Goods

If your goods have not arrived within 3 days of the delivery confirmation email (for international orders , please allow up to 28 days), please email or telephone to let us know. We will require a confirmation email from yourselves regarding the lost items before we can process the refund or replacement procedure.

Damaged / Lost Goods

IMPORTANT:

PLEASE CHECK YOUR GOODS PRIOR TO SIGNING FOR THE DELIVERY, ESPECIALLY IF THERE APPEARS TO BE EXTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE PACKAGING.

WE CANNOT ISSUE REFUNDS FOR BENT/DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS IF YOU SIGN FOR THE GOODS AS OK. IF THE TRIMS/ITEMS ARE DAMAGED PLEASE SIGN AS SUCH AND REFUSE DELIVERY.

ALL DAMAGES AND SHORTAGES MUST BE REPORTED TO US IN WRITING WITHIN 24HRS OF DELIVERY.

Delivery Schedule 

All orders are usually dispatched the same day for all items currently held in stock, providing we receive your order before 1pm UK time Monday to Friday except for English public holidays. If we are awaiting stock, your goods may be delayed for longer than this period. This only happens in exceptionally busy times and is not the normal procedure, but please allow up to 5 working days for delivery. If you place your order Monday-Friday after 1pm we will try to dispatch on the same day, but if that is not possible, your goods will be dispatched the next working day. All goods that require a signature for proof of postage will need to be signed for on delivery, and it is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure that someone is available for delivery on the day. If the delivery is attempted, and fails, a redelivery will be scheduled automatically. If after a third attempted delivery the item is still not delivered or collected, it will be returned to us, and a re-delivery cost will need to be paid for by the customer. If the goods are not required , then a 15% handling fee will be charged , and your money will be refunded on successful return of the items. The return of the items and its insurance is the responsibility of the customer. Customers in the Highlands of Scotland may find that their deliveries take one extra working day to arrive. Note that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. 


You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

 

Liability

We shall not be liable to you for any losses including loss of profits (whether direct or indirect) revenue, goodwill, or incidental, or consequential loss that you may suffer because of the purchase of goods from us. Any other liability shall be limited to the price paid for the goods. We do not exclude our liability for fraud or for death or personal injury.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed giving you an approximate date for delivery, alternatively we may be able to recommend a suitable replacement.

Product Images & Descriptions

Product images displayed are for illustration purposes only and may differ from actual products received. Trimtraders will always endeavour to supply goods as per images shown, however manufacturers do vary designs and packaging and we reserve the right to supply identical items with alternative packaging without prior notice to the customer.

Tax Charges 

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

Credit Card Security 

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128-bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

The Great Northern Tiling Company Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

a. Take and fulfil customer orders.

c. Only disclose information to third parties for goods delivery purposes.

Returns Policy 

Your rights to return goods are protected as a consumer under the EU Distance Selling Regulations 2000.(Please note that if you purchase goods from us as a business, using a business name, then you will be making the transaction and purchasing the goods from us as a business to business sale, and these rights are not caught by this agreement, meaning any refund will be at the sole discretion of The Great Northern Tiling Company Ltd). You will have 7 days from receiving the goods to action this right.


Please note that any orders that we must place for goods that are not in stock, usually Chrome, Brass and Stainless Steel, are special order items and may not be refundable. This may be due to our suppliers imposing these conditions on us. Please contact us in the first instance if you wish to return any items.

Any goods that can be returned should be in saleable condition and include a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA)


How to request a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) 


Please email [email protected] for your RMA number An RMA number must be requested from ourselves prior to returning any goods. We also require you to use a recorded-delivery service. Note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error. If The Great Northern Tiling Company Ltd. is responsible for reimbursing you for your delivery costs, then this will not exceed our standard courier costs to deliver to you. You should be aware that once we begin the delivery process, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out by us (for example, postage and packing). When we receive the goods with the notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item. 


These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your statutory legal rights. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
